Boavista é a primeira incursão longa duração de Gonçalo, longe dos seus Long Way to Alaska. Sucede a QUIM, o EP do bracarense lançado em 2014 pela Lovers & Lollypops. Boavista chega após uma recente participação com Castello Branco, com o nome de “Mar Nenhum”, tema a incluir numa coletânea promovida pela Bodyspace, com participações entre músicos lusófonos.

Gonçalo is human, Boavista chameleon. There are people and things that are watertight, afraid or unable to change, colorless and without apparent life. Boavista is the antithesis of all this. It is the morning light and the communion that comes from it; the night and its solitude and introspection; are the memories of always crossed with the living in the present; is the constant mutation and proof that we must experience everything to be truly something. The usual would be to write such a habitual list of influences to enclose Goncalo.
